DermacenterMD offers two methods of hair reduction,
allowing you to receive the best laser hair reduction procedure.
We have an advanced laser system called the Profile ClearScan
and a newer application of light based hair removal termed
Broad Band Light (BBL). Both methods can lead to reduction
of unwanted body hair, (plucking, shaving and waxing), Intense
Pulsed Light (IPL) hair removal yielding long lasting results.
The procedure can generally treat most hair colors and textures.
Using a broad light spectrum, pulses of light energy heat
and damage hair follicles, causing the hair to fall out from
the root. The surrounding healthy tissue is not damaged. Because
of the laser’s wide spectrum, more of the area can be
treated in less time.
The procedure is quick, non-invasive and can
be used to remove unwanted hair from all areas of the body,
including sensitive regions, such as the lips, under the arms
and around the bikini line, regardless of the depth of the
follicle. Patients will experience minimal discomfort and
little interruption of daily activities. Side effects are
minimal.
